Hobbies on StudyLivo: Build a Habit and Compare Globally
Published 2026-11-01
StudyLivo is more than live study rooms. Create a hobby habit, track it on your board, earn Bronze to Diamond stages, and compare your effort globally.
StudyLivo started as a place to sit with other people and study. That is still the core, live rooms full of real people, working on their own things, right beside you. But a room is only the first half of the idea. The second half is what you do in the room, day after day, and that is where hobbies belong.
A hobby dies quietly. Not because you do not care, but because nobody sees the days you skip. A guitar stays in the corner, a sketchbook stays closed, a language app stays at day three. StudyLivo's answer to that is a board, not a lecture. You create a habit for the hobby, you check it in when you do it, and you watch the month fill up in front of you.
1. A room is a place, a board is a habit
A live room gives you presence. A board gives you proof. On your board, Today is the dashboard: what is scheduled today, what is done, what is still open. You do not need a perfect week to start. You need one habit, one name, one repeat pattern, every day or certain days, and a check when it is done.
That separation matters. The room does not judge your hobby, and the board does not need you to be good at it. Reading ten pages, sketching for twenty minutes, practising scales, or writing two hundred words while sitting in one of our online study rooms all count the same way on the board: done, or not yet done, today.
2. How the board works, in plain words
Your board has four views. Today shows today's habits, goals, Big 3 tasks, and other tasks. Month shows your habits as rows and the weeks of the month laid out horizontally, with a daily score for each day and two lists at the bottom, Strongest and Needs focus. Year shows every month side by side, names your best month, and greys out future months. Ranks shows your profile, your week, and a leaderboard.

Clicking a habit does not open an edit screen. It opens the achievement detail: how far that habit has come, what is done, and what is still open. Editing lives only under Manage, where you change days, icon, or colour, or delete a habit.
When you complete something, a small celebration appears, a modal with the achievement, and a "Keep it up!" button that fires confetti in StudyLivo colours. It is a small moment, but it marks the day as done, and done days are the whole game.
3. Stages, not just streaks
A streak counts days in a row. A stage counts months completed. That is a slower, kinder measure, and it fits hobbies better than a daily chain that breaks on one bad day, just as with learning how to build a study routine that endures through stressful weeks.
The ladder is: 1 month completed is Bronze, Level 0. After Bronze, Level 1 is Silver. 4 months completed is Gold. 8 months completed is Diamond. A month counts only when every day that had a scheduled item had all of its scheduled items complete. You do not need months in a row, and you do not need to be perfect at the hobby, only consistent at showing up.
This is why a hobby board beats a simple counter. A counter asks, how many days? A stage asks, how many months did you actually keep this in your life?
4. Comparing globally, without giving away your private board
Here is the part most habit apps get wrong. They either keep you alone, or they show everyone everything. StudyLivo's board does neither.

Other people see only your leaderboard name, stage badge, level, XP, and streak flame, plus top habits as an aggregate, for example how many people track a habit and its kept percentage, with no names attached. They cannot see your habit list, your goals, your tasks, your dates, or your Month or Year detail, and clicking a leaderboard row does not open your board.
That makes global comparison safe and useful. You can see that people in other countries are also keeping a reading habit, a drawing habit, or a coding habit, and you can tap a top habit to add it to your own board, with your own repeat pattern, icon, and colour. You are comparing effort, not exposing your life.
5. A first week plan for any hobby
Pick one hobby, not five. Give it a name that is a real action, for example "Read 10 pages" or "Sketch for 20 minutes". Set it to every day for the first week, even if the session is short. Sit in a room while you do it, camera on or off, microphone muted during focus blocks, and check it in on your board the moment you finish.
At the end of the week, look at Month, not at Today. If you have five or six filled days, that is a real start. If a habit is at the bottom of Needs focus, that is not failure, it is information: the habit is too big, too vague, or scheduled on the wrong days. Make it smaller, make it clearer, and keep going. After a month, the stage, not the streak, will tell you what you built.
StudyLivo is not just a place to sit in a room. It is a place to sit in a room, do the thing you care about, and prove to yourself, month by month, that you kept it. Join a room, create the habit, and let the board do the remembering.
Frequently asked questions
Is StudyLivo only for studying?
No. Rooms are for any focused work, and the board works for any habit, including reading, drawing, music practice, coding, writing, and fitness routines that fit a focus session.
Do other people see my private habits?
No. Other people see only your leaderboard name, stage, level, XP, and streak, plus top habits as an aggregate with no names. Your habit list, goals, tasks, dates, and Month or Year detail stay private.
What happens if I miss a day?
A missed day breaks a streak run, but stages count completed months, so one missed day does not erase a month of work. Shrink the habit and start the next day.
Do I have to keep my camera on for a hobby session?
No. Camera is optional, and microphones stay muted during focus blocks.
